We experienced that those default settings are the best for using OpenMeetings rooms in most cases:
- Moderation: Rooms should be moderated. If not, in webinar rooms, the first person who enters the room is automatically the moderator.
- Room type: Webinar is the most often used type in courses, so "webinar" should be the default type.
- Using audio only: When having conferences with more than ten participants, you can run into performance problems on the user side. Because for every user the bandwidth for video is reserved (even when video is "black"), users with a poor internet connection can hardly follow a presentation.
The attached patch adds a new setting "Audio only" and sets the defaulkt room settings to "audio only webinar with moderation". Unfortunatly, this setting can't be changed after a room is created (missing API feature on OM side).
Also the missed "is recording allowed" is added when getting a room by id. Additionally, I replaced all german umlauts by their appropriate encodings and made some corrections.
